Owner and Director

Huw began recruiting in the investment banking market in London in 2000 and has worked within the Australian banking and finance market since 2002, within both global and boutique firms.

Huw is a career recruiter with a focus on talent identification and attraction through research, direct approach and networking.
Matt Frost
Owner and Director

Matt started his recruitment career in London in 1998. After 2 successful years, he relocated to Australia and for 4 years worked with global recruitment firms in the finance industry. In 2004 Matt established the Melbourne operation of a boutique Asia Pacific banking recruitment firm of which he later became a Director.

Matt specialises in Business, Corporate and Institutional Banking across Australia and Asia Pacific.
Brendan Drake
Managing Director, US

Brendan is the Managing Director of Thomas Frost Executive’s US operations, covering all mandates in the Americas.

Brendan has a long and distinguished career in corporate and investment banking with the likes of NAB, ANZ, Bank of Scotland, Barclays, and Macquarie. His most recent challenge being the establishment of the US operations for a UK listed luxury FMCG manufacturer and retailer as CEO. His geographic experience and network spans Australia, the UK and the US.
Lisa Nader
Managing Partner

Lisa Nader is Thomas Frost Executive’s lead for the banking and finance sector in Sydney. Lisa covers sales, relationship management and business development roles across direct banking institutions, fintech and the non-bank funding space.

Lisa has over 17 year's specialist recruitment experience within Banking and Finance, and prior to that 5 years working in industry for a major Australian bank.
Emma Paterson
Associate Director

Emma Paterson is our Head of Research at Thomas Frost Executive, she has been specialising in banking and financial services and IT recruitment for the last 16 years covering Asia Pacific and the UK markets.

She is passionate about helping businesses to identify, attract and retain the best talent and loves connecting people to new opportunities and assisting then to develop their careers.
Sarah Wapling
Associate Director

Sarah is qualified in financial advice and investment markets. After a successful career in financial planning and investment management Sarah moved into recruitment in 2005 covering the very same sectors. For the past 10 years Sarah has run her own business working in the financial planning, private banking and investment management side of financial services. In 2022, Sarah joined Thomas Frost Executive team and will specialise in roles within investment and wealth management.
Golnaz Ashman
Associate Director

Golnaz has 20 years experience in financial services recruitment working in Melbourne, London and Sydney, which she now calls home. Over the years Golnaz has worked with Australian banks, brokers, global investment banks, asset managers and boutique financial services organisations on front line sales, relationship management and leadership roles. Prior to joining Thomas Frost in Sydney, Golnaz spent two years working internally with Westpac's Business and Private Bank where she gained valuable insights into what recruitment looks like inside a bank.
Daniel Sung
Associate Director

After graduating with a Master's degree in Finance Daniel started his career at a Big 4 Accounting firm in Hong Kong. After a few years, he naturally fell into recruitment at a specialist financial services recruitment firm where he recruited Front Office positions in (SME/Commercial and Private Banking) for International, Chinese and Japanese Banks. After returning home to Melbourne he worked at a large global recruitment agency where he specialised in recruiting Business Banker's for Australian banks. He then moved into an in-house role as a Senior Recruiter for Westpac's Business Bank recruiting nationally across Small Business and Commercial Bank for nearly 3 years.
